Quinn's versatile artistic practice shifts mediums between drawing, painting, graphic design and sculpture.

Kyle Quinn, born in Okinawa, Japan (b. 1987) currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. He received his fine arts degree from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2010. He was an artist-in- residency through Altered Esthetics Gallery in Minneapolis, MN from 2014-2015, part of the Ace Air Residency - Ace Hotel’s artist-in-residency program in New York in 2016 and was an artist-in-residency for the Mauser Foundation for the month of April, 2022 in Parrita, Costa Rica.

 

He is the owner, publisher, designer and curator for the queer publishing house Raw Meat, established in 2015. His artistic practice shifts mediums between drawing, painting, graphic design and sculpture.

 

He has been published in ArtForum, BUTT Magazine, NYSAI Literacy Press, Hyperallergic, Posture Magazine, i-D for Vice / VICE, Fader, Tank Magazine, Physique Pictorial and many more. His artworks have been collected and archived by The Frances Mulhall Achilles Library at the Whitney Museum of American Art (x7 ), The Thomas J Watson Library at The Met and The Yale Private Library for their published titles, ephemera, photography and collaborative projects through Raw Meat and as an independent artist. He is also an independent curator and art advisor for mid-level artists and galleries. In the Spring of 2023 the Museum of Modern Art Library in New York acquired 29 artist publications, books, prints and photographs for their private collection, available upon request via MoMA Library.
